The Wash Sink Supervisor–3 series is ideal for businesses who want to include hand washing as part of their safety program and who want to manage the program real time by individual. The system is designed to increase and sustain the quality of hand washing each and every wash, while providing management with a total of completed 20-second HACCP washes.  The Wash Sink Supervisor-3 commonly known as WSS-3 is comprised of a touch-free faucet adapter (Pro-Sense), a touch–free soap dispenser (Simplicity Plus), both of which are integrated together via a base controller station. Designed to instruct the user through a complete wash cycle, using the voice guided and LCD step-by-step multi-lingual instruction, the WSS-3 system allows a complete and repeatable wash process each and every time the user washes their hands while at the same time monitoring the usage of the appropriate device.  With the controller unit displaying completed washes on the LCD, the system allows managers to keep track of wash counts and monitor data in comparison with store objectives thus controlling the quantity of completed washes. Combining the electronic tags worn by the employees and real-time monitoring software that can be run on any computer accomplishes this.  One big advantage with the WSS-3 is that a manager can view the status of individuals wearing badges via the individual badge itself or by the group of individuals by viewing the real-time software.  Using easy to read graphics, a manager using this system can see at a glance who is and is not washing. Although managers still manage by wash count, a secondary check is the badges wash status light and the monitoring software.

How it works:
First, at the beginning of the shift, each employee takes a numbered badge assigned by the manager from the badge rack.  Badge numbers indicate whether the badge is English, Spanish, or Creole.  Once removed from the rack, the light on the badge turns yellow and a faint “beep” sound occurs. The employee has to complete a compliant wash within 5 minutes or as specified by your corporate SOP.  If they don’t complete the wash in that time the light on the badge turns red and begins to beep.  Upon completion of their first wash they’re added to the real-time status list.

As the employee approaches the Wash Sink Supervisor sink the base unit recognizes their badge status and instructs them by text and voice to place their hands under the faucet.  Their hands activate the Pro-Sense faucet and the water is turned on for as long as they hold their hands under it.   They are instructed to place their hands under the soap dispenser.  When they place their hands under the soap dispenser a prescribed amount of liquid soap is delivered.  They are then instructed to lather for 20 seconds. This feature is unique to UltraClenz because at this point the faucet is deactivated so that they cannot rinse prematurely (splash & dash).  After 20-seconds, the faucet is reactivated and they are instructed to rinse their hands.  Once they rinse their hands, their badge will turn green and re-set to a pre-specified wash alert interval (usually 1 hour).  Upon completion of the rinse step the system will add one completed wash to the counter on the real-time status screen.  Employees must complete each step or the badge will not turn green and the time interval will not reset.

Perimeter protection: If an employee passes a beacon that has been mounted near the entrance to the kitchen (rear door, trash, employee entrance, restroom area, etc.) a green badge will be ‘tripped’, flash yellow, and beep, indicating that they must wash.

The WSS-3 system can be connected to the manager’s PC and linked to a remote monitor strategically placed in the kitchen where employees and managers can self manage compliance.  The monitor will display the real-time status screen by badge number.  The manager and employees will know at-a-glance which badges (employees) are out of compliance.  This way, managers and employees can quickly identify those with poor wash performance and take immediate action.

The advantages of the UltraClenz ‘Wash Sink Supervisor-3’ are that it provides a totally touch-free process that eliminates cross-contamination while ensuring that each hand wash follows the prescribed SOP, delivering a safe, high-quality wash.  The hand wash counter helps ensure that washes occur at the targeted total frequency for the team as a whole, while alerting the team to badge holders requiring a wash.

Management can easily establish a base line of total washes by day, week, or month. Thereafter, a quick glance can determine if the increases in wash counts meets or exceeds expectations. Management by goals & objectives is made easy. If the goal is 12 washes per person day and if the group total compliant washes increases or sustains gains made, then this is the solution for you. If washes reduce, then options can be included that enforce by measuring who, when, frequency, and missed washes because the Wash Sink Supervisor-2 is easily expandable to phase into a full Pro-Giene System. This means that you can begin with this easy to install and use base product. If and when the time comes to expand the system, all components are plug and play compatible and easily expanded to handle data on individual worker performance and perimeter protect.

The WSS-3 Series is ideal for business who want to include hand washing as part of their safety program and manage this task through group objectives.   Unlike dispensers that count dispensed soap, the WSS-3 counts legitimate HACCP washes while giving you a safer touch-free environment to do in.
